From there it should hold pressure and the pump should run while cranking to keep pressure to the system. If turned off and back on soon after the pump will not run if the pressure is still there.RACE TECH : That is your fuel pump relay. Switch the 2 relays out and see if your getting power now. If you do then you know your ignition is working. If you do have a spark then pour some gas down the cylander and put back plug and see if it fires.

'04 Ranger had a weak battery and got a new one. Afterwards no start or warning lights that you usually get with switch on. The only thing that appears to be getting power is the fuel pump. Put a little fuel starter in inlet to carb (remove air cleaner, spray a few seconds, place filter back on then try starting). Even if the engine is shot, it should start, it'll either sound ok or will make loud banging sounds. Best of luck, I give it 50/50 odds, could be ok.
